Interesting concept, JT. I'll have to think about that one. Your punishment of running 5 miles hit home for me. In high school, I ran track, played volleyball and softball, and was the manager of our school football team. Even in college, I played a lot of sports. But when I started to have kids, I put our kids' needs/wants above my own desires to play/exercise. My step-daughter was 8 back then. Now she's 28 with 3 kids of her own (ages 5, 3 and almost 1). I've been saying for a little while now that the kids are old enough now (15, 13 and 7) it's time for me to do more for myself. That's why I was so glad Wendy Lafferty sent a invitation to join your workout group - it's just time. My kids mean everything to me. We're VERY close. I hate being away from them for even one day. Is it OK for me to bring my kids to a workout? I think I'd like for that to be my reward - to be able to bring them along (not all the time, just once or twice).

John- You are taking massive action and I love it. I consider a breakfast large when I am feel somewhat "full". You must eat slow (masticating slower allows enzymes in your mouth to break down food) so that your brain can get the message before it's too late.

Liesl-Yes you can bring your kids to the workout as they are part of your success.

This might be fun. I will be working for the next 4 days in St. Pete. I don't know if there is a gym where I will be staying, but squatting is one thing I can do. A couple of other things:

1. tell me what a "large" breakfast is for you.

2. since I'm going out of town, I usually will be able to be more direct in my exercising. Let me know ASAP what you would have me do.

3. tell me other places that I might be able to get Zumba for free other than Sat at 12:30.
